Meet the Team – Paul Hodgetts

We sat down with Paul Hodgetts, Business Development Advisor, to find out more about his role.

How long have you been at In-Comm Training?
I’ve been working at In-Comm Training for 2 months now so just enjoying to get know everyone, the apprentices and the companies we support.

What is your role?
My current position is Business Development Advisor. The key part of the role is being a client manager for companies that are part of our training and manufacturing group. We hold a monthly meeting to discuss business and training requirements.

I’m also responsible for driving In-Comm’s growth, identifying new companies and partners for us to engage with, as well as attending the occasional awards evening!

What is the best thing about your job?
Two things. Meeting a range of people and placing a young person – at the start of their career – in the world of work

If you had to do one apprenticeship with In-Comm, which one would you choose and why?
I would do the Technical Support Technician apprenticeship – I really enjoy the quality aspect that is involved in engineering!

What’s been your proudest moment at In-Comm Training?
Placing my first apprentice and starting them on their own career path.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?
I like keeping fit and this usually means running, walking, playing tennis. I also like to ski and, of course, supporting the mighty Wolves!

What inspires you?
Gaining a sense of achievement inspires me, taking pride in my job and doing my very best in all situations.

What advice would you give to people thinking about embarking on an apprenticeship?
Grab it with both hands, so you make the most of the of the opportunity you’ve been given – it will shape your future.
