Moog approached In-Comm to provide business improvement training to around 100 people across our site; we wanted to try and develop a better improvement culture whilst creating a core of people that would be able to run and engage with improvement projects moving forward.
With the help of In-Comm we decided to train the majority of people to NVQ level 2, whilst picking individuals who we thought would excel and who had the ability to lead teams to NVQ Level 3.
In-Comm provided excellent training on site that enabled candidates to understand both the background and reasoning behind lean and six sigma, whilst presenting a set of tools to be used during project work.
With the support of In-Comm personnel that were based on our site 2 days a week, Moog then picked projects that were linked with our business strategy with the hope that they would give us significant improvements.
Many of the projects have exceeded expectations, solving long term quality issues and the like, in turn creating large savings to the business.

Business Improvement Techniques NVQ Level 3 - At the start of this course, I thought it would be more suited to large volume work, such as in the car industry. I now find that a lot of this course is relevant for a company the size of ours, and with an output the size of ours.
I have learnt a lot regarding the application of Six Sigma theory from this course and will carry a lot over to our every day production and operation.
