Moog approached In-Comm to provide business improvement training to around 100 people across our site; we wanted to try and develop a better improvement culture whilst creating a core of people that would be able to run and engage with improvement projects moving forward.
With the help of In-Comm we decided to train the majority of people to NVQ level 2, whilst picking individuals who we thought would excel and who had the ability to lead teams to NVQ Level 3.

In-Comm provided excellent training on site that enabled candidates to understand both the background and reasoning behind lean and six sigma, whilst presenting a set of tools to be used during project work.

With the support of In-Comm personnel that were based on our site 2 days a week, Moog then picked projects that were linked with our business strategy with the hope that they would give us significant improvements.

Many of the projects have exceeded expectations, solving long term quality issues and the like, in turn creating large savings to the business.

In-Comm have always been on hand to guide and support the project teams ensuring that they stay on track, whilst each team member is fulfilling the needs of their qualification alongside project work.

Moog would recommend In-Comm to anyone who wants to enhance their business through engaging their workforce in improvement activities as their training and encouragement has been excellent throughout.

Investors in People Audit: "Over one third of the workforce was seen, 18 out of 50, plus a member of In-Comm Training who massively supported our training plans with monthly reviews and membership of their Group training Scheme. The overwhelming comments from employees was that their training needs were being well looked after."

Phillip Cooke, Managing Director, Phoenix

In-Comm Training has provided MDL Insulations Ltd with an excellent opportunity to improve our training for all employees.

During a recent ISO audit with LRQA the auditor commented that he had never seen such a high level of training with such a small company.

Everyone at MDL believes that this achievement has been made possible by In-Comm who have made the organisation and smooth running of our training programmes so easy due
to their professionalism and friendly customer approach.

Diane Thomas, Operations Director - MDL Insulations Ltd.

"Why do you lean? All our competitors and customers want the same thing, the highest quality at the lowest price.

Our customers will only choose our products if we are able to deliver the highest quality parts at an acceptable price in quantities ordered in a timely manner.

To achieve this we work with one vision, with our Business Improvement Techniques (BIT) for continuous improvements to meet the challenges and goals across all of our 41 sites around the globe."

Mathew Appleton, HR Officer

Business Improvement Techniques NVQ Level 3 - At the start of this course, I thought it would be more suited to large volume work, such as in the car industry. I now find that a lot of this course is relevant for a company the size of ours, and with an output the size of ours.

I have learnt a lot regarding the application of Six Sigma theory from this course and will carry a lot over to our every day production and operation.

I am grateful to Mr. George Harrison (trainer/assessor) for taking the time and
trouble to willingly pass on to me the details of his knowledge and experience
which has been gained over many years.

Mr. Harrison has clearly defined teaching techniques and always provides course participants with positive and constructive feedback. He is clearly someone who knows what he is talking about.

John Clarke, Foundry Supervisor - Bradken UK

Using In-Comm for training within my company has really helped my business and my
workforce progress. The training provided has been thorough both in In-comm
training facility and with in-house NVQ assessor that comes to our workplace.

In-Comm has provided help and support all the way through the learning process
especially from our assessor Alan Turner. Thanks In-Comm for all your help.

Philip Acton, Director, A&W Precision Tools Ltd

"Tech-Step, a division of Salts Health Care, required a development tool to change the culture of the workforce and to implement change/development and continuous improvements within its business.

The tool that ticked all the right boxes for us was BIT/Lean Manufacturing programme delivered by In-Comm.

The benefits to date have been improved work flow / facility re-layout, which has reduced waste within our processes and reducing lead times.

The workforces have now taken ownership of the operations, and are now driving forward continuous improvements with the business, improving efficiency and increasing profitability."

Phillip Wells, Technical Support Manager, Tech-Step
