National Vocational Qualifications - NVQ Level 2 - Performing Manufacturing Operations
A Programme for practising PMO personnel designed to increase awareness and knowledge in aspects of related activities. The programme will assess the Candidate's competence against NVQ Level 2 standards and where necessary agree development plans.

The advice and assessment process will be delivered at the Candidates place of work. Advisor and Assessor visits will be by prior arrangement and made so as to minimise any disruption in the work place. The Candidates Line Manager will be included in the process through a Management Development Agreement.

• Initial Assessment - This initial stage of the process involves working with an Advisor to review the Candidates work role and experience, after which the appropriate level of qualification can be determined
• The Qualification is made up of 5 mandatory units, all of which must be completed, and a choice of 1 optional units from a choice of 10
• Mandatory Units (all units must be completed)Unit 1: Organise own work for manufacturing operations Unit 2: Control Manufacturing operations Unit 3: Contribute to the effectiveness in the organisations Unit 4: Develop & maintain working relationships Unit 5: Contribute to health & safety in the workplace
