National Vocational Qualifications - NVQ Level 3 - Distribution and Warehousing
A Programme for practising distribution and warehousing personnel designed to increase awareness and knowledge in aspects of related activities. The programme will assess the Candidate's competence against NVQ Level 3 standards and where necessary agree development plans.

The advice and assessment process will be delivered at the Candidates place of work. Advisor and Assessor visits will be by prior arrangement and made so as to minimise any disruption in the work place. The Candidates Line Manager will be included in the process through a Management Development Agreement.

• Initial Assessment - This initial stage of the process involves working with an Advisor to review the Candidates work role and experience, after which the appropriate level of qualification can be determined
• The Qualification is made up of 1 mandatory unit, which must be completed, and a choice of 2 optional units from group A, and a further 2 units from group B
• Mandatory Unit (must be completed)Unit 1: Contribute to maintaining a healthy and safe working environment
• Optional Units Group A (any 2 from group A)Monitor and modify systems and facilities for the receipt of stock Monitor and modify systems and facilities for the storage of stock Monitor and modify systems and facilities for the despatch of stock
• Optional Groups Group B (any 2 from group B)Maintain systems and facilities for distributing stock Advise on the implications of planned changes in business operations for distribution and storage services Maintain and improve effective working relationships Plan, monitor and adjust staffing levels and schedules Assess candidate performance (D32) Assess candidate using differing sources of evidence (D33)
